Preparation for the PMS Exam

First, you must check the syllabus in the advertisement for the position you are interested in applying for. If the paper is one paper MCQ based then read any authentic book covering all the topics like:

General Ability Paper containing questions relating to General Knowledge, Pakistan Affairs, English Grammar, and Islamic Studies, (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim Candidates) (Objective) (100 Marks)
English Essay (25 Marks)
Urdu Essay (25 Marks)
Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce (200 Marks)

If the test is descriptive, you need to prepare thoroughly. Try to acquire in-depth knowledge and avoid shortcuts. Read past and daily newspapers to stay updated about what’s happening worldwide. Reading English newspapers will help you enhance your vocabulary and reading skills.

Important Note:

Phase-I: All candidates will only be called for a Written Test in General Knowledge paper.
Phase-II: The candidates who obtained 40% marks (40 out of 100) in the General Knowledge Paper will be called for the Written Test of the remaining papers i.e. English Essay and Urdu Essay.
